Vincenzo Bonanni is a Cleveland, OH-based filmmaker specializing in narrative directing and editing.

Growing up in the Midwest, Vince was surrounded by hardly any peers interested in film. Not having access to cameras, lights, and even actors, he self-taught his way around Blender to create these worlds digitally. These worlds were often sci-fi and fantasy themed, as Vince grew up loving films like The Lord of the Rings trilogy.

Because of these solo projects, Vince’s stories often focus on characters overcoming a mental obstacle, rather than a physical one, often intertwining these story arcs in fantasy and sci-fi worlds. By telling stories with these themes, Vince hopes to help people push through times of feeling isolated and moments of anxiety.

As a director, Vince also believes that the work environment for the actors and crew on set has a huge effect on the overall quality of the film. Because of this, Vince strives to set a good balance between allowing people to have a good time, but ready to work when their job is needed.

So far, Vince has directed and written three short films. His latest short film, Solace, was recently crowdfunded, reaching its goal 24-hours after being posted. The film is currently in the editing stage.

Although directing and editing are Vince’s passions, he has a strong love for the entire filmmaking process, no matter what the role. He is committed to further developing his craft and meeting filmmakers to collaborate with!

Vince’s projects can be found and watched through Work.
